If your website is not loading, don't panic. There are several common reasons, and most are easy to fix. Follow this troubleshooting checklist.
Step 1: Check If It's Just You
Sometimes the issue is on your end, not the server.
-
Try accessing your site from a different device (phone vs. computer) or a different network (switch from WiFi to mobile data).
-
Use an online tool like "Down For Everyone Or Just Me" (downforeveryoneorjustme.com) to check your site's global status.
Step 2: Check Your Domain Status
-
Has your domain expired? Log in to your BurjHost Client Area and check your domain renewal dates.
-
Are your nameservers correct? If you recently changed them, wait 24-48 hours for propagation.
Step 3: Check Your Hosting Account
-
Log in to your BurjHost Client Area. Is your hosting service active or suspended? Overdue invoices are a common cause of downtime.
-
Check your email for any notices from BurjHost about server maintenance or resource overages.
Step 4: Check Resource Usage
If you can access cPanel, go to "Resource Usage." Have you exceeded your CPU or memory limits? A sudden traffic spike can temporarily take a site down on shared hosting.
Step 5: Contact Support
If you have checked all the above and your site is still down, contact BurjHost support immediately via live chat or ticket. There may be a server-wide issue.
