Email forwarding allows you to automatically send copies of incoming emails from one address to another. For example, you can forward info@yourdomain.com to your personal Gmail account.
How to Create an Email Forwarder:
-
Log in to your cPanel.
-
In the "Email" section, click on "Forwarders."
-
Click the "Add Forwarder" button.
-
Configure the Forwarder:
-
Address to Forward: Select the domain from the dropdown and enter the prefix (e.g., if you want to forward
info@, type "info"). -
Destination:
-
"Forward to email address" : Enter the external email address (e.g.,
yourname@gmail.com). -
(Optional) "Discard and send an error to the sender (disable address)" : Use this if you want to delete emails sent to that address.
-
-
-
Click "Add Forwarder."
Important: If you forward to an external address, replying from that external address will show the external address, not your original info@ address, unless you configure your external client to send "as" the original address (see Article 64).
