A subdomain is a separate part of your website that can function as a distinct site, like blog.yourdomain.com or shop.yourdomain.com. It does not require a new domain registration.

How to Create a Subdomain in cPanel:

  1. Log in to your cPanel.

  2. In the "Domains" section, click on "Subdomains."

  3. Enter the Details:

    • Subdomain: Enter the prefix you want (e.g., if you want store.mywebsite.com, type "store").

    • Domain: Select the main domain from the dropdown menu.

    • Document Root: This is the folder where the subdomain's files will be stored. cPanel usually fills this automatically (e.g., public_html/store). You can change it if needed.

  4. Click "Create."

Your subdomain is now active. You can upload specific files for that subdomain into the folder you just created.
